MHADA's Pune Board has extended the deadline for
receiving applications for the housing draw due to the Maharashtra assembly
elections planned on November 20.
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development
Authority (MHADA) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for
6,294 affordable dwellings through the MHADA lottery 2024 for the Pune Board.
The deadline for submitting applications was
November 13, 2024. The amended schedule states that the deadline for submitting
applications is now December 10, 2024.
The amended schedule was revealed in advance of the
Maharashtra elections, which are slated for November 20, according to an
official.
According to the amended schedule, the deadline for
applications is December 10, and the lottery results will be published on
January 7, 2025.
Where are these reasonably priced residences?
6,294 dwellings in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the
districts of Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli will be sold by the Pune Housing and
Area Development Board (a division of MHADA) as part of a number of housing
initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The prices of these houses range from ₹10 lakh to
little over ₹1 crore. Of the 6,294 affordable dwellings in total, 418
apartments under PMAY and 2340 residences are available under the first-come,
first-served plan.
MHADA Konkan Board lottery 2024
In addition to Pune, the MHADA's Konkan Board is
holding a lottery for 12,626 reasonably priced homes in the ₹20 lakh to ₹1
crore range in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Raigad district close to Mumbai,
and Konkan belt. In addition to 12,626 affordable dwellings, the lottery is
offering more than 100 plots for sale.
The MHADA also revealed the outcomes for more than
2,000 affordable homes in Mumbai in October 2024. Around May 2025, the MHADA
also intends to hold a lottery for an additional 2,000 residences in Mumbai.
In the past year, MHADA has held nine MHADA lotteries in Maharashtra, including in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Sambhaji Nagar, and Nagpur, giving ownership to 30,000 affordable homes.
