Minister calls for integrated development in the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yeida sectors

The instruction came during a review meeting about the Masterplan-2041 conducted at the PICUP building in Lucknow by the three authorities.

NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh government has asked the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) to "focus" on integrated development and strong public transit connectivity in three industrial bodies in order to improve regional development.

The direction came during a review meeting about the Masterplan-2041 held on Saturday at the Pradeshiya Industrial & Investment Corporation Of Uttar Pradesh Limited (PICUP) building in Lucknow. The meeting was chaired by UP industry minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' and attended by industry minister for state Jaswant Saini, principal secretary for industry Anil Sagar and Abhishek Prakash CEO of InvestUP.

According to officials, the meeting aimed to review future urbanisation and development projects, which are critical in preparing land for investors who want to buy land to set up their businesses near Noida International Airport, which is scheduled to open on April 17, 2025.

The Noida authority, which presented a presentation regarding "New Noida" to be developed in Bulandshahr and the Gautam Budh Nagar district's agricultural area, was ordered to work on a plan that provides accommodation for workers where they work.

The minister directed the three industrial bodies to follow the government of India's policy of emphasising multiple uses of larger industrial plots of 2.5 acres or more so that investors can build industry, group housing for workers, and commercial spaces for those who work in factories, according to officials.

If we want our economy to grow quickly and businesses to thrive, we must prioritise integrated development in Noida, Greater Noida, the Yamuna Motorway, and other neighbouring places rather than focussing solely on one city's challenges. Because public transit is the backbone of urbanisation, it must be efficient if a city is to flourish', Nandi said in a press statement after evaluating the Masterplans of the three industrial organisations.

He also directed the three agencies to acquire agricultural property in order to provide it to investors looking to start businesses in the region.

Meanwhile, Satish Pal, Additional CEO of the Noida Authority, presented a presentation regarding the Dadri Noida Ghaziabad Investment Region (also known as 'New Noida'), which will be developed on 21,000 hectares of land bought in 30 villages of Gautam Budh Nagar and 60 villages of Bulandshahr.

Greater Noida officials stated that their Master Plan 2041 places a specific emphasis on connection, and that the city will provide world-class transportation services through Metro, Rail, and road connectivity projects in this region.

Shailendra Bhatia, Yeida's additional CEO, made a presentation on the Yeida-2041 master plan, which discusses urbanisation in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts.
