In various areas of Delhi, DDA is offering discounts of 15 and 25 percent on around 600 apartments

445 of the 656 units up for sale are 2 BHK MIG apartments, while 211 are 1 BHK LIG apartments. After a discount, 2BHK apartments in Narela would be available for between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 87 lakh, compared to their usual price range of Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.02 crore.

According to people with knowledge of the situation, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has proposed a scheme that will offer over 600 apartments in various categories at a discount of 15 to 25 percent. Registration for these flats began on March 14, 2024.

Furthermore, 1042 apartments in the HIG (higher income group) and LIG (lower income group) categories have been separately listed for sale by the Authority at the previous pricing.

According to officials, both of these deals are a part of the Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023, which is now in progress and will sell apartments gradually. First come, first served (FCFS) will be the method used to allocate these apartments.

According to a senior DDA official, the program covers apartments in several categories, including LIG and MIG.

The discounted apartments, which are 2 BHK and 1 BHK, are situated in Ramgarh Colony in Jahangirpuri and Narela, respectively. The official, who desired to remain anonymous, stated, We are offering a 15 percent discount to the general public and a 25 percent discount on price to all government employees, including central and state government, autonomous bodies, local bodies, PSUs, and DDA retired personnel.

The official went on to say that the goal of the action is to reduce inventory and increase sales of mid-range and cheap homes.

Similar to this, LIG apartments have a price range of Rs 15.3 lakh to Rs 16.9 lakh; however, after a discount, these apartments will only cost between Rs 13.1 lakh and Rs 14.5 lakh.
