Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Yamuna Expressway links Delhi and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as the Taj Expressway. It is an access-controlled roadway with seven interchanges and multiple bridges. The Yamuna Expressway reduces travel time between Delhi and Agra to two and a half hours.

Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Expressway between Agra and Lucknow opened in November 2016. The Expressway reduces the travel time between Agra and Lucknow from six to three and a half hours.

The Yamuna Expressway is also linked to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, shortening the time required to go to Delhi. The Expressway is bordered with service roads.

The freeway is patrolled 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has approximately ten ambulances on standby. The Expressway begins at the Etmadpur Madra village in Agra and finishes at the Sarosa Bharosa village on Mohan Road in Lucknow. The Expressway passes through ten villages and 236 districts.

Delhi-Meerut Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Delhi-Meerut Expressway, officially known as the National Expressway 3, runs 96 km and connects Delhi and Meerut via Dasna in Ghaziabad. The National Highway 9 (NH-9) from Delhi to Dasna has been upgraded from eight to fourteen lanes, making it India's widest Expressway.

Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Purvanchal Expressway was launched in 2021. The Expressway was rendered active from Karwal Kheri in Sultanpur district. The Expressway passes through several districts, including Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Amethi, Barabanki, and Lucknow. Currently, it takes 10 hours to go from Lucknow to Ghazipur. Prior to the Purvanchal Expressway's construction, the journey took approximately 15 hours.

Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is in charge of developing the Bundelkhand Expressway. The entire project was built in 28 months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone for the Bundelkhand Expressway on February 29, 2020. The Expressway opened on July 16, 2022. In Uttar Pradesh, it goes through seven districts: Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auriaya, and Etawah.. Additionally, the Expressway is connected to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

Construction of the Gorakhpur Expressway is presently progress. Once completed, the Expressway, which is divided into two parts, will connect Gorakhpur to Lucknow. It will connect to the Purvanchal Expressway at Salarpur. It will reduce travel time from Gorakhpur to Lucknow to five hours.

Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Ganga Expressway is a major project that would connect Prayagraj to Meerut. It will begin and terminate in Bijauli and Judapur Dandu villages. The Expressway will travel through approximately 12 UP districts. The Ganga Expressway construction is projected to accelerate local economic development.

Noida-Greater Noida Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is an extension of the Taj Expressway that connects Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. This Expressway also connects to the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway. This 6-lane Expressway spans 24.53 km, beginning at the Mahamaya Flyover in Noida and ending at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. It runs through the southeastern portion of the Okhla Bird Sanctuary.

Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is a spectacular development project in Uttar Pradesh that aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve connection between the two cities. This 6-lane Expressway, officially known as National Expressway 6, runs approximately 3.5 kilometres parallel to NH 25 and covers a distance of 62.76 9 km. It begins at Shaheed Path in Lucknow and serves as a critical link, significantly reducing travel time and increasing transit efficiency.

Ghaziabad-Kanpur Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Ghaziabad-Kanpur Expressway is a project in Uttar Pradesh that aims to connect two major industrial areas while significantly cutting travel time. Currently, the journey between these cities takes approximately six hours via the Yamuna Expressway, but this proposed four-lane Expressway promises to reduce that time to three hours. It would cover a distance of 380 km and pass through nine main districts, including Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Unnao, and Kanpur. It is expected to be completed in December 2025.

Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The proposed Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway would connect Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. This key Expressway, which spans 18.97 kilometres in West Bengal, 416 kilometres in Bihar, and 84.3 kilometres in Uttar Pradesh, promises to reduce travel time from 15 to 6 hours.

Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhi Ghat Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhi Ghat Expressway is a much-anticipated project in Uttar Pradesh that would connect Ghazipur with Buxar in Bihar. The first phase, costing Rs 618 crores, would see the development of this greenfield Expressway. Once completed, it is projected to dramatically improve connection between the two states.

Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway is nearing completion, with a possible expansion till March 2024. This transformative project will cut travel time from five hours to two and a half hours, linking Delhi to Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and improving regional accessibility.

Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government plans to build the Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway, which will be the state's longest Expressway. This Expressway, which covers 700 kilometres and passes through 22 districts and 47 Tehsils, including well-known areas such as Bareilly, Lucknow, Meerut, and Saharanpur, is projected to reconfigure connectivity. In addition, an airfield is planned as part of this major infrastructure project, demonstrating Uttar Pradesh's commitment to strong transportation networks. The foundation stone is expected to be placed before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, representing a significant step towards improved regional connectivity and growth.
