Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh


The Expressway between Agra and Lucknow opened in November 2016. The Expressway reduces the travel time between Agra and Lucknow from six to three and a half hours.

 

The Yamuna Expressway is also linked to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, shortening the time required to go to Delhi. The Expressway is bordered with service roads.

The freeway is patrolled 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has approximately ten ambulances on standby. The Expressway begins at the Etmadpur Madra village in Agra and finishes at the Sarosa Bharosa village on Mohan Road in Lucknow. The Expressway passes through ten villages and 236 districts.

Currently, it takes 10 hours to go from Lucknow to Ghazipur. Prior to the Purvanchal Expressway's construction, the journey took approximately 15 hours.

The Ghaziabad-Kanpur Expressway is a project in Uttar Pradesh that aims to connect two major industrial areas while significantly cutting travel time. Currently, the journey between these cities takes approximately six hours via the Yamuna Expressway, but this proposed four-lane Expressway promises to reduce that time to three hours. It would cover a distance of 380 km and pass through nine main districts, including Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Unnao, and Kanpur. It is expected to be completed in December 2025.


Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway in Uttar Pradesh


The proposed Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway would connect Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. This key Expressway, which spans 18.97 kilometres in West Bengal, 416 kilometres in Bihar, and 84.3 kilometres in Uttar Pradesh, promises to reduce travel time from 15 to 6 hours.


Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhi Ghat Expressway in Uttar Pradesh


The Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhi Ghat Expressway is a much-anticipated project in Uttar Pradesh that would connect Ghazipur with Buxar in Bihar.
